Description

The farmhouse boasts six generously sized bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, making it an ideal sanctuary for larger groups or families.

The ground floor reveals inviting, light-filled living areas that seamlessly connect to the garden and pool.

The inviting double-height lounge, adorned with a large fireplace and dining area, provides a perfect setting for gatherings. Meanwhile, the fully equipped French kitchen caters to all your culinary needs.

Outside, guests can unwind by the shimmering pool on its double sunbeds or in the relaxation area with comfortable seating under the shade of the pergola, before engaging in a friendly game of pétanque on the boules court. A dedicated playground ensures the little ones are entertained. A hot tub awaits for a soak under the stars. The property offers views of the countryside and of the famous village of Gordes, providing a truly serene and picturesque ambience.

On the ground floor, a bedroom with two single beds and another with a double bed share a bathroom, complemented by a separate toilet. Another WC can be found near the front door.

Moving upstairs, a landing introduces an additional separate toilet. The first corridor leads to two double bedrooms, one featuring a child’s bed, and a bathroom with an adjoining separate WC. Meanwhile, the second corridor unveils a double bedroom equipped with a baby’s cot, a bathroom boasting a claw-foot bath, and a dormitory room furnished with four single beds. Adjacent to the corridor stands another bathroom complete with a shower and WC.

The property and the village of Roussillon are approximately 50 kilometres from Avignon and 60 kilometres from Aix-en-Provence. The nearest airport is Marseille Provence Airport. The nearest train station is Avignon TGV.

The neighbourhood

Located at the foot of the perched village of Roussillon, the property allows guests to explore this worldwide-known village famous for its striking red cliffs and ochre quarries. Wander through the narrow streets to absorb the beautiful scenery or venture into the surrounding countryside on foot or by bike. With a variety of delightful cafes, shops, and restaurants, Roussillon has something to offer everyone.

One of the must-see attractions in Roussillon is the Sentier des Ocres, a scenic trail that winds through the stunning ochre rock formations and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Getting around

We recommend travellers wishing to stay in this property to have a car. However, The Luberon Concierge can arrange to have guests picked up from the airport or the train station, and a chauffeur can be available upon request during their stay.

Cancellation policy

  • 30% cancellation fee up to 365 days before arrival
  • 100% cancellation fee up to 30 days before arrival.

This contract is binding from the date of signature and deposit payment. If the Owner does not receive the deposit within three days, this contract will be automatically cancelled.

If the Main Guest wishes to cancel this contract, they must inform the Owner immediately in writing. The 30% deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by the Owner.

If the Main Guest cancels less than 30 days before the arrival date, all amounts paid by the Main Guest will be retained by the Owner, except for the security deposit.

In the unlikely event that the Owner must cancel this contract if unforeseeable circumstances or Force Majeure make enjoyment of the property impossible, the Owner will refund the Main Guest the total amount paid for the reservation. No compensation will be granted.

This beautiful villa is slightly tucked away (a little searching required), but it offers so much for large families! There’s plenty of space to gather over a glass of wine and a cheese platter while the children swim or enjoy the playground.

You can also relax in the sun on the lovely lawn and take in the view. And in the evening, enjoy the jacuzzi under a star-filled sky.

We had a fabulous stay at the villa near Roussillon for an important family reunion comprising four family groupings, from grandparents to adult children and grandchildren. The configuration of this villa was ideal, providing everyone with their own space.

The outside spaces were exceptionally well thought out. We enjoyed family dining on the loggia/terrace, a comfortable seating area with the lovely pool behind it. Following through the hedge, we found a well-placed jacuzzi with an amazing 360-degree view of the Luberon Valley, with Gordes as the backdrop. Just to the side is a lovely boules/pétanque court with a covered seating area, where we enjoyed wonderful evening conversations and games of boules. The property also featured a small playground for young children and a newly planted small football pitch. The property was fully walled and very large, allowing the children to run freely without parental concerns. The landscaping and nighttime lighting deserve special mention as they created a magical fairyland atmosphere once darkness fell.

The property was perfect and clean on arrival. We were met by Sandrine, who provided an overview of all we needed to know, left us with keys, gate openers, and a contact number where we could reach her anytime. A small issue with the hot water on arrival was dealt with within hours, even though it was late at night. Sandrine was quick to respond to any questions and provided us with great information on local wineries when asked. The additional concierge services arranged by Cathy were very helpful as well. We arranged a special birthday BBQ at the villa for 18 people, and with her assistance, we had an amazing experience.

The combination of Sandrine and her team, headed by Cathy and Natacha (admin), helped make a truly wonderful family holiday with priceless memories that will not be forgotten, from the youngest 3-year-old to the oldest 73-year-old.
